Suely Saro Democrat

Long Beach City Council Member for District 6 since 2018, running for mayor in 2026. Saro is the first Cambodian American woman elected to the Long Beach City Council. Born in Cambodia, she came to the United States as a refugee and grew up in Long Beach's Cambodian community. She serves on the council's Public Safety Committee and has focused on community safety, housing, and serving Long Beach's immigrant and refugee communities.
