Governor — Arizona
Governor Katie Hobbs seeks re-election in Arizona, a state she won by less than a point in 2022. Republicans are fielding strong challengers in one of the most competitive gubernatorial races in the country.
Katie Hobbs has served as Governor of Arizona since January 2023, winning one of the narrowest gubernatorial races in the country. Previously Arizona's Secretary of State, she oversaw the 2020 and 2022 elections under intense pressure. She has focused on education, water policy, and economic development.
Kari Lake is a former Phoenix television news anchor who narrowly lost to Hobbs in the 2022 governor's race and again lost the 2024 Senate race to Ruben Gallego. A vocal Trump ally, she has remained one of the most prominent figures in Arizona Republican politics and is seeking the governorship she narrowly lost in 2022.
